Can anyone tell me what software to use to produce a render like this? and does anyone know a program that enables you to display movies within a movie like at 1:05? cool product tho.
How the hell can this be an iPad killer? Something like this is going to cost a FORTUNE!!!!!!!!! I'd have to learn more before I'd actually want it. What kind of power does it have? The rolling up and the ability to go from tablet to a regular laptop is pretty innovative, Future Designer laptop ROLLTOP Costumer Opinion but what are the pros and cons? For instance, it doesn't look like it has a DVD drive. Is it really any more practical? I already have a small and light laptop I can slip into my bag with my other things (this one is like a whole other bag I'd have to carry).

Future Designer laptop ROLLTOP Costumer Opinion, lack of DVD drive is irrelevant. If you noticed it has USB ports so you can easily plug an external drive into it when you need a disc. However the way computers are now we really don't use discs that often. Beyond the installation of a program, what are you using DVDs for anymore? The laptop I use right now doesn't have a disc drive, and it uses that extra space to make it more powerful. And I doubt you'd need another bag, this would probably fit a backpack easy.

Future Designer laptop ROLLTOP Review The one of which I'm thinking was a bronze winner for either IDEA or the ID Annual Review. It was an elegant scroll-like piece and - because of how OLED screens work - probably would function better than a multi-fold screen (mismatch in substrates due to creasing is an issue). Don't know for which company the work was done, or if it was just a concept piece for self-promotion purposes.

I have an external one at home that I use only on the rare occasion that I need to install some program or upload a CD or something. Otherwise, it would just take up space and make the netbook needlessly large and heavy.
I got some questions
1. does the tower thing that also holds the laptop charge while its plugged in or does the rolltop have to stay plugged in to use.
2. Where and or how would you put a cd and or Dvd , will that be improved soon

The device of the flexible display allows a new concept in notebook design growing out of the traditional bookformed laptop into unfurling and convolving portable computer.
By virtue of the OLED-Display technology and a multi touch screen the utility of a laptop computer with its weight of a mini-notebook and screen size of 13 inch easily transforms into the graphics tablet, which with its 17-inch flat screen can be also used as a primary monitor.
On top of everything else all computer utilities from power supply through the holding belt to an interactive pen are integrated in Rolltop. This is really an all-in-one gadget.

I see what you mean, but I really don't think that many people have trouble just getting ISOs and using a virtual drive. But then, maybe my expectations of the average computer user are too charitable
thanks for info. either way, this would be sweet & save a lot of space when traveling. but I did initially wonder about resolution w/all the folding & creasing as well. but who knows what direction the iPad will take, it's size is a major convenience
